B&D creates student activation for Three Mobile


We created and ran Three’s stand at Intu shopping centre’s annual student ‘lock in’ for the second year running. The hugely successful activation significantly increased Three’s SIM sales and footfall to its stores.

We designed and ran Three’s experiential space for its Intu shopping centre activation across 10 of its locations. Intu own many of the UK’s largest and most popular retail destinations in the UK. The event is targeted around Fresher’s Week and is aimed at students who have either just started, or are about to start, university.

The reason Three was running this activation was because it felt students were not directly catered for by the company. It wanted to use this activation to test the value and feasibility of the market.

In order to drive engagement we created a giant ‘wheel of fortune’ spinner, with different prizes depending on what section people landed on.

We went to 1o locations across the country, chosen for their popularity with Three’s target audience for this campaign: teenagers and young adults. We handled everything from stand build, install & dismantle, design, logistics, giveaways and staffing.
